Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a very nice polish. Each bead carries decorative inlays of abalone shell. There is one on each side of the bead for lots of colorful flash. This is natural shell that is hand-set, so please allow for some variation between beads. Generously sized, these beads are guaranteed to make a statement.
