Robles wood is a tropical hardwood. It is light, but strong, with properties similar to teak. The natural color can range from a light rose color to medium and dark chestnut brown. Here, the wood is cut into very large beads with hand-carved, deep spiral grooves. The loose wood grain pattern is lovely and can be easily seen, and the natural color variation and the texture is reminiscent of wood floors and doors in an older home.
