This is natural red quartz. These beads have sort of an icy look to them. Some beads are clear or have white inclusions. Others are accented with pockets of color from an extremely pale pink to dark red. The coloring is delicate and appears almost like stains on the outer surfaces or like tissue paper inside the stone. This variety is rare, and the red coloring comes from randomly depositions of hematite which form as the quartz crystal grows. These are very nice quality beads with intense color that has a good distribution throughout the beads. They have a nice weight and polish, and are microfaceted for extra bling!
