Hemimorphite is a unique stone named for the characteristic way in which the crystals grow having different forms at each end. This is green hemimorphite, bright green in an 8mm bead. Hemimorphite is a fragile stone, so you may find small internal fissures in some of the beads. These are internal structures that form due to the nature of the crystal. They form interesting patterns in the bead, and do not breach the surface. The surface is smooth with an understated polish. Try using hemimorphite beads in earrings or a necklace to protect them from rough handling. The color is really striking and will easily brighten up any design.
