This is beautiful pietersite, named after its discoverer, Sid Pieters. Pietersite is a more rare variety of stone similar to tiger eye. Instead of the fibers in the stone being nice and parallel like they are in tiger eye, they are scattered across the stone in different directions. Golden pietersite has rich gold tones mixed with darker blue or greenish-blue hues. You'll find an occasional pop of iridescent shimmer, similar to tiger eye.
