Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a very nice polish. But these particular beads are extra special in that they carry a decorative inlay of multi colored abalone (paua) shell. There is one on each side of the bead for lots of colorful flash. This is natural shell that is hand set, so please allow for some surface differences and variation between beads. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
