Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a very nice polish. Each bead carries a decorative inlay of multi colored abalone (paua) shell on each side for lots of colorful flash. These are the smallest ebony wood inlaid shell beads that we carry. Gifted artisans hand set tiny pieces of natural shell onto these small beads, so please allow for some surface differences and variation between beads. Try pairing these with semiprecious stones, shell, bone, and other natural materials. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
