Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Here, you'll find a mix of dark brown and black shades, sometimes referred to as tiger ebony. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a nice polish. Here, ebony wood is cut into a large teardrop shape with an open center cut out. Use these as a link or spacer in your jewelry or embellish them by stringing beads in the center. Wood beads look great with a wide variety of metals. Try pairing them with semiprecious stones, shell, bone, and other natural materials.
