Chunky ebony beads are hand cut into a half moon shape resembling a melon slice. Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a very nice polish. Here, you'll find a very dark brown, almost black wood, making them near prime quality. The beads are very smooth and have a soft sheen when turned in the light. The chunky shape will make a statement, but also bring a natural touch, to your design.
