Blue sponge coral is a non-reef building coral that is commonly used for jewelry. Sponge coral is a natural coral with tiny holes in it that were once the home of tiny sea creatures. You can still see and feel the tiny holes in the beads. Sponge coral is stabilized to harden the soft material, but the faded blue to gray denim like color here is unenhanced, the natural color of this material. Coral is perfect to bring an organic element into your designs. You'll find slight variation in texture as some beads are more polished while others may have a rough spot. Graduated in size, these are perfect for a ready-made necklace or different sized beads could be used in various designs. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
