Bayong is a hardwood that grows in the Philippines. It is durable, making it long wearing and suitable for jewelry. The natural color is a warm red-brown, with a lovely wood grain pattern. Here, large bayong wood oval beads have a unique curved edge. The recessed edge tapers out and gives the bead a nice decorative detail. Generously sized, choose one to use as a focal bead, or combine them for a statement piece. Lightweight and very smooth to the touch, the beads have an understated polish and natural sheen which allows them to retain a very natural and organic appearance.
