Agate Gemstone Beads Agate, when fired, has a distinctive crackled appearance. This variety of fired agate is enhanced to warm brown color, glazed in white, with brown highlights peeking through around the crackles. These beads look a little like your morning cup of coffee after you've just added a bit of cream. In the pictures some of the strands have an occasional dark blue band, but in the stock I have left, most of the beads are brown and white.
