Bayong is a hardwood that grows in the Philippines. It is durable, making it long wearing and suitable for jewelry. The natural color is a warm red-brown and can vary from very light to very dark. Here you'll find medium to dark shades. And, the wood has a lovely grain pattern that can be easily seen. Lightweight and smooth to the touch, the beads have an understated polish that allows them to retain a very natural and organic appearance. You'll see a soft glow from the wood as the beads are rolled around in the light.

The color of bayong wood beads can vary. Your beads may be slightly lighter or darker than the pictured strands.
