Bayong is a hardwood that grows in the Philippines. It is durable, making it long wearing and suitable for jewelry. The natural color is a warm red-brown, with a lovely wood grain pattern that can be easily seen, but you'll find variation from light to dark red-brown shades. Lightweight and very smooth to the touch, the beads have an understated polish which allows them to retain a very natural and organic appearance. You'll see a soft sheen from the wood as the beads are rolled around in the light. Come on, let's make something beautiful!

The color of bayong wood beads varies. Your beads may be slightly lighter or darker than the pictured strands.
