Large hole fire opal gemstone beads from Dakota Stones have 2.5mm holes for big strings! Fire opal natural forms in the midst of rhyolite stone, a volcanic rock (brown). It is mined in Mexico. Fire opal can have a mix of bright oranges and red (hence, the name), but it also can have a mix of darker colors which is seen here. You'll find pockets of blue, cream, and gold-colored opal within the brown rhyolite. The resulting pattern is colorful with great visual interest. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
