This is grade A lepidolite from Dakota Stones. Lepidolite is an uncommon stone that has become very desirable because of its purple coloring. The dark purple variety brings up images of royalty. Lepidolite is a type of mica. You can see this in the little silvery flecks that are scattered throughout the stone. These flecks give a slight iridescence to the beads when held under the light.
