Fine ebony wood is hand cut into jumbo sized cubes and drilled from one corner to another, so that the cube sits diagonally when strung. You'll find a mix of dark brown to black shades, with occasional banding, referred to as tiger ebony. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a nice polish. These beads are very smooth and have a soft sheen when rolled around in the light. The generous size is great for a chunky stretch bracelet or statement pieces with a modern edge.
